Legal information

KannStudio
Legal Terms

KannStudio is a brand of ALEGRA INVESTMENTS, LLC (“KannStudio,” “we,” “us” or “our”). These terms apply to use of this website and, unless a signed agreement says otherwise, to production services requested through it.

1. Website terms

By using this website, you agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious material or misrepresent your identity. Website content is provided for general information and may change without notice. A website enquiry does not create a client relationship, production obligation or acceptance of a project.

2. Production services

KannStudio provides video editing and post-production support, including event, wedding, quinceañera, corporate, conference, graduation, private-party, performance, brand, interview, podcast and social-media content, subject to project review and capacity.

Scope, credits, turnaround, revisions, deliverables, fees and payment dates are determined by the applicable proposal, order, statement of work or written confirmation. Estimates are not guarantees. Delays caused by incomplete briefs, late footage, missing assets, client feedback, third-party platforms or events outside our reasonable control may extend delivery.

3. Client materials and authorization

You represent that you own, control or are authorized to provide every video, image, audio recording, logo, script, font, music track, likeness and other material you upload or request us to use. You are responsible for obtaining releases, permissions and licenses from speakers, performers, guests, venues, music owners and other rights holders.

You grant KannStudio a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to access, copy, edit, render, transmit and store client materials only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services, perform quality control, communicate about the project and maintain necessary records. This license does not transfer ownership.

4. Intellectual property

Client ownership

Subject to full payment and the exclusions below, the client retains ownership of its original materials and receives the rights expressly granted in the final deliverables under the applicable project agreement. KannStudio does not claim ownership of the client’s footage, brand, characters, logos, scripts or other pre-existing materials.

Limited production license

Until payment is complete, KannStudio grants no unrestricted license to use drafts or unpaid deliverables. After full payment, the client may use the final deliverables for its stated business, marketing and client-delivery purposes, subject to third-party licenses and any written restrictions in the project agreement.

Excluded materials

Ownership of KannStudio’s pre-existing workflows, know-how, templates, project structures, internal tools, editing methods, software, graphics libraries and reusable components remains with KannStudio. Third-party music, stock footage, fonts, plugins and software remain subject to their own licenses. No deliverable grants rights beyond what KannStudio is legally able to grant.

Portfolio use

KannStudio will not publish client footage, confidential material or identifiable work in a portfolio, case study or social post without the client’s prior written permission. A client may revoke future permission by written notice, subject to material already published lawfully before revocation.

5. Confidentiality and white-label work

Each party must protect non-public business, creative, technical and personal information received from the other party and use it only for the project. A separate NDA controls if one is signed. KannStudio may use personnel and service providers who need access to perform the work and will require them to follow appropriate confidentiality obligations.

6. Third-party services

This website may link to or use independent services including Crisp, Cal.com, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Fonts, WhatsApp, social networks, hosting providers, file-transfer tools and analytics or advertising services. Those services are not owned or controlled by KannStudio. Their availability, security, privacy practices, cookies, retention, international transfers and processing are governed by their own terms and policies.

KannStudio does not control or guarantee the operation, security, availability, accuracy, retention or deletion of data processed by those third parties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KannStudio is not responsible for a third party’s acts, omissions, outage, breach, account settings, tracking, content or data practices. This does not exclude responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, and clients should avoid sending highly sensitive information through third-party tools unless specifically agreed.

7. Privacy and security

We collect information reasonably necessary to answer enquiries, assess projects, provide services, process payments and communicate with clients. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website, email, cloud service or internet transmission is completely secure. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government identification or unnecessary sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.

We do not promise that data can never be lost, intercepted or accessed unlawfully. If a law requires notice or a specific security standard, the applicable legal requirement controls. Requests about personal information may be sent to info@kannstudio.com.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and non-final information are provided “as is” and “as available.” KannStudio disclaims warranties not expressly stated in a written project agreement, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability and error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KannStudio and ALEGRA INVESTMENTS, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill or business interruption arising from the website or services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability for a project will not exceed the fees actually paid for that project during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law, or to liability that cannot legally be limited, including fraud, intentional misconduct, certain privacy violations, gross negligence or infringement caused by a party’s own conduct.

10. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, the client agrees to defend and indemnify KannStudio and ALEGRA INVESTMENTS, LLC against third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from client materials, missing permissions or releases, unlawful instructions, client-provided music or assets, breach of these terms or misuse of the final deliverables. This does not require indemnification for KannStudio’s own proven fraud, willful misconduct or non-waivable legal responsibility.

11. Payments, cancellations and revisions

Fees, deposits, subscription renewals, cancellation notice, credit expiration, revision limits and delivery conditions are governed by the written commercial terms accepted for the project. Work may be paused for overdue invoices or missing approvals. A revision corrects work against the approved brief; a new concept, new footage, new script or changed direction may be treated as new scope.

12. Disputes and governing law

The applicable governing law, venue, arbitration procedure, limitation period and class-action waiver should be stated in the signed client agreement after attorney review. If no signed agreement addresses a dispute, the parties will first try in good faith to resolve it through written notice and a business discussion. No clause on this page waives rights that cannot legally be waived.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this page by posting a revised version. The version in effect for a specific production project is the version incorporated into its written agreement. For legal notices, privacy questions or permission requests, contact info@kannstudio.com.
